The home has a private pool.
The former villa hotel Leon de Sineu offers historic walls, rustic charm, hidden corners with blooming bougainvilleas, fragrant lemon trees and cacti. Parking is possible directly on the street, as the imposing two-part building complex needs every centimetre for its NINE rooms, the terraces and the idyllic garden. The small pool is situated in a quiet, sunny corner location. Here you can cool off after a stroll through the city. As soon as you enter the airy garden, you will quickly forget that you are in the centre of the streets of Sineu. Every guest has their own retreat. Even small groups can relax and unwind in the various rooms. When all the tables are laid out on the terrace for breakfast or a barbecue, you might almost be tempted to wait for service, just like in the old days. Perhaps you can request a cook from the owners while you are travelling.
The impressive entrance hall is still reminiscent of the old hotel reception. The old grandfather clock and a small refreshment bar still greet arriving guests before they spread out over the two floors of the main building. In the large house you will find nine individually designed double rooms, five of which have two single beds each, one five-bed room (with double bed and 3 single beds) and 3 rooms with double beds. In the rooms available you will find unique charm and modern amenities such as air conditioning, chairs and private bathrooms. There are a total of five showers and seven bathtubs. Those who draw the lucky ticket when the rooms are allocated can look forward to a small balcony. High ceilings and wooden doors, antique treasures, intricate carvings and various common rooms with or without a television give the house a unique atmosphere of times gone by. Meetings in a relaxed atmosphere or exuberant parties can also be held in the air-conditioned conservatory (this is a multidisciplinary room instead of the seminar room or discotheque, which are also available). The rustic kitchen with its large stone archway looks fantastic, but fortunately also has practical features such as a microwave and dishwasher, essential utensils for large groups.
The village's namesake, the winged lion of Sant Marc, stands in the church square of the medieval town, which offers exciting guided tours through the historical past as well as the largest cattle market on the island. Extensive fields, windmills, olive groves and vineyards characterise the landscape of the centre of the island, which is particularly easy to explore on foot or by bike. A highlight is the almond blossom in January and February. Gourmets will also find their paradise here and discover many good local wines or even one or two Mallorcan specialities in quiet villages such as Petra, Ariany, Costitx and Santa Margalida. If you long for the sea, you can drive 20 kilometres to Can Picafort and the bay of Alcúdia.
(Licence number: TI/81, name: León de Sineu) Just a short walk from the medieval town of Sineu is this unique villa Leon de Sineu, which was built in the 15th century and is ideal for large groups with its hidden inner garden. One of the island's most beautiful farmers' markets, shops and restaurants are practically on your doorstep. For more extensive shopping, we recommend the old town of Inca, which is famous for its leather goods and wine. Playa de Muro and Playa Son Baulo are about 20 km away.
