CASA DEL PUERTO is located in the harbour of Port de Sóller, which is significantly characterised by its historic old town and fishing port. The house is situated on a hill directly opposite the harbour entrance with a fantastic view of the harbour and the open sea. In only 6 minutes you can walk to the promenade and the beach of Port de Sóller with its romantic ambience, embedded in the imposing mountain landscape with many shops, cozy restaurants and street cafés and the nostalgic tram to Sóller. The house is situated in a quiet residential area/cul-de-sac only 400 m from the beach promenade. Excellent restaurants within walking distance (6 min). The property borders directly on a large undeveloped nature reserve with pine forests and olive groves at the back. CASA DEL PUERTO has just been completely renovated for rental. The port of Port de Sóller is located about 28 km north of Palma, in the Tramuntana mountains, in a unique natural bay, only about 3 km from Sóller, a charming little town, which is one of the most beautiful on the island with its authentic flair, outstanding centuries-old architecture and cosy plaza. Both towns are connected by a regular tramway dating from 1905. Sóller shares the valley with Fornalutx and the village of Biniaraix. The valley is famous for its orange plantations and terraces of ancient olive trees. The legendary artists' village of Deià lies a few kilometres along the coast. Port de Sóller is about a 30-minute drive from Palma's airport. Palma itself is 25 minutes away.
We welcome our guests with 2 bottles of excellent Mallorcan white and red wine, delicious orange marmalade and mild olive oil from the valley of Sóller, as well as a large 6l bottle of mineral water. There is a final cleaning charge, for which we will be happy to arrange a tried and tested company for you.
The possibilities for leisure activities in and around Port de Sóller are incredibly numerous: all forms of water sports, diving, boat and yacht hire, scooter hire, walks, excursions, yoga, golf (20 minutes drive), farmers' markets, arts and crafts.
Sóller is famous for its excellent restaurants - original or upmarket - also in the harbour and the surrounding area. Local fishermen offer their fresh catch daily in the harbour. The "Gambas de Sóller" with their incomparable nutty and very slightly sweet taste are a widely known delicacy that is offered all over the country. The same applies to the oranges and olives.
